Professional Bio
Linnea is a media professional whose experience includes leadership in content and operations. She has led large-market public and commercial radio news teams, been the driving and creative force behind standard-setting content and been honored with multiple awards across documentary, digital, print and radio.
Her operational expertise is building dynamic teams and high profile operations from scratch. She most recently developed production operations and managed the technical team at ESPN’s broadcast facility in Las Vegas. Linnea is the former managing editor of Capital Public Radio where she led the team in daily and enterprise work, developed new models for engaged programming, led international collaborations and launched a cross-platform podcast unit. Linnea is an alumna of the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and currently serves on its alumni advisory committee. She is proud to work as an editor with PMJA Editor Corps since its founding in 2020. Prior to journalism, Linnea was a Fire Captain with CALFIRE. She is a lifelong athlete, explorer and storyteller of the human experience.
