DEADLINE EXTENDED: Tell Us Why Your Editor Should Be PRNDI's "Editor of the Year" 2019

While we got some great nominations for the Editor of the Year for 2019 - we wanted to give you one more chance to tell us about your great and deserving editor.  So, we've extended the deadline to nominate until Friday, April 5th at midnight ET.  Get your nominations in now to have your editor considered!

Editors. They’re the unsung heroes of the newsroom. They can spend hours working with a reporter, shaping and guiding a story, helping elevate the piece to something exceptional...and all without a byline!  

PRNDI's "Editor of the Year" award is designed to recognize an individual who exemplifies the very best in story editing and newsroom leadership. Is there someone in your public media newsroom who regularly helps reporters improve copy, avoid errors and approach stories more creatively? Is your editor a mentor and teacher who consistently pushes reporters to up their game? Let us know! 

How to Nominate Someone 

Tell us why your editor should be PRNDI's 2019 Editor of the Year in 500 words or less. Email your nomination, along with links to 3-5 stories your nominee edited, to Nominations can be completed by individuals, a group of colleagues or collaboratively by a newsroom. Please put “PRNDI 2019 Editor of the Year Nomination” in the subject line. Nominees must have held their current public media position for the past 12 months as of March 29, 2019.
