PMJA recognizes the importance of editors to the craft of journalism. We know how hard editors work behind the scenes to make stories at local stations shine. Countless hours working with reporters, shaping stories, elevating good journalism to something great - all without much recognition. PMJA aims to change that with our Editor of the Year Award. We're asking you to nominate your great editor for the 2020 award.
PMJA's "Editor of the Year" award is designed to recognize an individual who exemplifies the very best in story editing and newsroom leadership. Is there someone in your newsroom who regularly helps reporters improve copy, shape sound, avoid errors, and approach stories more creatively? Is your editor a mentor and teacher who consistently pushes reporters to up their game? Let us know.
