Job Summary

WUWM in Milwaukee, WI seeks an experienced professional to serve as their next Content Manager. Serving on the senior executive team and reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will leverage and optimize broadcast and digital assets across multiple platforms to create a meaningful experience. This position is responsible for managing the station’s creative team as well as cohesively scheduling national radio programming in order to sustain and build audience.

Candidate Profile

WKAR, the NPR affiliate for Michigan State University and the mid-Michigan region, is seeking an experienced, charismatic, and dedicated local anchor and producer for ‘All Things Considered’. Daily responsibilities include writing and anchoring five formal newscasts and four casual updates, and recording evening and overnight weather forecasts. Other tasks include editing news content, cultivating and pitching story ideas during daily news meetings, and social media engagement.

It’s a region abundant in agriculture and rich in ethnic diversity; in the city of Fresno alone, more than 85 languages are spoken. Valley Public Radio is looking for a tenacious reporter to cover immigration and underserved communities in seven counties. The position involves reporting, writing and assembling daily and feature-length news content for broadcast on the station and for digital platforms.
