We’re looking for a managing editor, who’s an experienced, curious journalist with strong news judgment to help guide, grow and build upon our success as a recognized statewide news source.

  KTOO is looking for a talented and curious digital journalist to work 25 hours per week in our Juneau, Alaska-based (but virtual for now) newsroom. Your job will be to polish up great reporting from across the state and make it shine online.

The stories on our website are a mix of original reporting and content from KTOO and republished news stories from a vast network of public media organizations across Alaska. The Web Editor is responsible for copy editing news stories, writing headlines, finding appropriate visuals and sharing stories on social media.

WKAR, the NPR affiliate for Michigan State University and mid-Michigan, seeks to expand our local news service with the addition of a full-time local anchor and producer for ‘Weekend Edition’ and ‘Weekend All Things Considered’. Weekend responsibilities include writing and anchoring three formal newscasts, six casual news updates, and recording evening and overnight weather forecasts Saturday and Sunday.

  Cincinnati Public Radio seeks a producer for Cincinnati Edition, our live one-hour daily talk show. The Producer will be in charge of coming up with show topics, researching and gathering materials for discussion, identifying and scheduling guests, and coordinating with the host and assistant producer to produce an engaging local show each day.

  Cincinnati Public Radio is looking for an entry level radio news reporter to join our growing newsroom. This person will be responsible for gathering and presenting news stories covering a variety of significant local issues on-air, online, and across social media platforms. The successful candidate will collaborate with the news team and enthusiastically grow their skills in the field of public radio news. This position also will play an active role during on-air fundraising and will fill in as an on-air host.

NPR and its member stations are creating an innovative system of regional news hubs designed to reshape the journalism landscape -- and we’re building one of the first hubs in the Gulf states. 

We’re looking for a dynamic leader to head this collaborative journalism effort and to link local, regional and national news coverage on radio and digital platforms. The Managing Editor will define the Hub’s editorial vision and develop the strategy for executing it.

Plus, you will have the opportunity to cover the 2020 election in a key battleground state.

Position Summary

  This position focuses on, but is not limited to, production of daily news and public affairs programs. These programs include interviews and analysis on many subjects (news, culture, etc.) in North Carolina. They are some of the most visible extensions of WUNC-FM’s public service to more than 400,000 listeners each week.
