Professional Bio
Tyler is the news director at KHOL/Jackson Hole Community Radio in Jackson, Wyoming. He hails from West Texas but likes to call New Orleans home. He has over a decade of experience as a jack-of-all-trades at public radio stations across the U.S. and was most recently at WLVR in Eastern Pennsylvania where he was assistant news editor, helping launch the newsroom at the start of the pandemic. He's also told audio stories at KUT and KUTX in Austin; WNYC in New York; KCBX in California, and the Southern Foodways Alliance podcast Gravy in New Orleans. He's a Columbia Journalism School alum who's passionate about reporting on housing and affordability, social justice and LGBTQ+ issues. He loves helping reporters new to audio learn how to make great radio, as well as diving into a big feature edit. When he's not on deadline you can probably find him tearing up up a dance floor, working on strength and fitness, catching a Saints football game, exploring Southern literature, researching his next vacation or just generally vibing out over house music, tacos, barbecue and Old World wines.
