Membership Information

Any organization producing original journalism for distribution via the public media system. All individuals working for the news organization will qualify for membership benefits.

Annual membership dues are based on the staff size of the station’s newsroom as follows:

• Large Staff (news staff of 16 or more) – $750
• Medium Staff (news staff of 6-15) – $600
• Small Staff (news staff of 1-5) – $475

Staff size is determined by the number of full-time equivalent positions. All staff producing news content, including full-time news and hosting staff, visual journalists, podcast staff, and all talk show personnel and contract employees with full-time contracts lasting a year or more should be counted when determining staff size.

Individuals working outside of a member News Organization to advance public media journalism such as freelancers, educators, and consultants.

Dues: $120 annually

Organizations and businesses that support public media journalism. All individuals working for the Supporter will qualify for membership benefits.

Dues: $500 or more.

Individuals who are high school students and students attending a two-year or four-year college or university. Graduate students also are eligible if not employed full-time with a News Organization.  (Non­-Voting Membership)

Dues: $25
