Here's everything you need to get your team connected to their PMJA benefits and keep your roster current as your newsroom changes.

When someone joins your team

Adding a new staff member to your PMJA roster gives them immediate access to training discounts, the Slack community, virtual meet-ups, the Career Center, and more. Here's how to get them set up.

  • 1 Go to your Member Compass at pmja.org/login. Log in if you haven't already.
  • 2 Select People from the left navigation.
  • 3 Click + Add Person and enter their name, email, and title. Your organization will pre-fill. Click Save.
  • 4 Send them the welcome message below so they know to set up their account.
Optional: Share roster management Go to any staff member's listing in the People tab and click Give Management Access to let an HR contact or admin assistant add and remove staff without going through you.

Welcome to the team! As part of [Station Name], you have full access to Public Media Journalists Association membership — training discounts, peer connections, career resources, awards, and more.

Get started at pmja.org/login. Enter your work email and you'll be prompted to set up a password. Once you're in, your Member Compass dashboard will show you everything available to you.

When someone leaves your team

Keeping your roster current ensures your membership reflects your active team.

  • 1 Go to your Member Compass at pmja.org/login.
  • 2 Select People from the left navigation.
  • 3 Find their name and click Remove person.
