Professional Bio
Leah Becerra is the product director of Reynolds Journalism Institute's News Media Help Desk local news support resource. Her journalism background encompasses all things digital: news product design, podcasts, video, analytics, audience strategy and more. She also teaches a class where students learn to code and to built intentional digital experiences at the Missouri School of Journalism.
Previously, she worked for The Boston Globe, Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard, The Kansas City Star, Newsy (now Scripps News), the Omaha World-Herald and the Springfield News-Leader. In 2018, Leah was part of a team of journalists recognized as Pulitzer Prize finalists in public service.
