Professional Bio
Andrew Morgan is assistant director of Outreach at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in New
York, NY. He leads programming for CFR’s State and Local Officials Initiative, a nonpartisan,
independent resource on pressing international issues that affect the priorities and agendas of state
and local governments. He also supports CFR’s Local Journalists Initiative, which helps print,
broadcast, and digital-first journalists working for regional publications throughout the United States
draw connections between the local issues they cover and national and international dynamics. Mr.
Morgan is bilingual and previously worked as an English language assistant in two elementary schools
in France.
He has a master’s degree in international affairs from The New School and a bachelor’s degree in
international studies and French from Lindenwood University.
