Amy Jeffries was most recently KNKX's assistant news director. With her leadership, the KNKX newsroom won the 2024 national Edward R. Murrow Award for Overall Excellence and a Sigma Delta Chi award for investigative reporting from the national Society of Professional Journalists.
She has worked as a reporter, producer, and editor in public radio newsrooms all over the country, including as the daily news editor at WUNC in Chapel Hill, as a founding editor of the Kansas News Service, and as a contributor to NPR. She has also edited and reported for Patch, GlobalPost, and the Associated Press.
