Jill Ryan

Jill Ryan is an award-winning reporter with a master's degree in investigative journalism from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

She joined KJZZ-FM in 2020 as a morning reporter, and is now the Morning Edition Producer and a field correspondent. She began her public radio career during her undergrad at Stony Brook University in Long Island. She worked at WSHU-FM at the time.

Investigations and other features she has worked on (in multiple mediums) have appeared on NPR, WBUR's Here & Now, the Houston Chronicle, the Boston Globe, the Arizona Republic, WSHU-FM and, of course, KJZZ News.

Additionally, she was a journalism faculty associate for Arizona State University from 2022-2024. She has been a guest lecturer, and has also written for the Knight-Cronkite News Lab, a website that publishes stories about new innovations in television news.
