Skyler Lebron

My name is Sky Lebron, and I've been working in Public Media since 2017 as a student journalist for WUFT-FM in Gainesville. After graduating in 2019, I started as a General Assignment Reporter for WJCT News in Jacksonville, FL, in 2020, and then I worked as a Morning Edition host and supervisor for WUFT News in Gainesville out of the University of Florida.

In September 2022, I started my current position as a Morning Edition Host and Reporter for WUSF News in Tampa, with a focus on transportation and rural issues. In 2025, that role was expanded to be the creator and host of WUSF’s quick daily podcast, The Bay Blend, which is a quick shot of your local news, mixed with some culture, events and personality. In 2026, it was recognized as the Best Podcast Series by the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists.

Apart from reporting and hosting, I am also a play-by-play broadcaster for the Florida Gators and other schools for certain sports, such as volleyball, soccer, and softball. I am originally from Broward County, growing up in Hollywood, FL and getting my degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville in 2019.
