DEI Research Study
Public media journalists are invited to help us understand the state of the field
PMJA supports, empowers, and advocates for journalists working in public media. To further that mission, we work for greater diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the industry by creating and cultivating pathways to support diverse leadership. But how is that measured? Today, there is no baseline for defining how the system is doing in its collective DEI efforts and no measured indicators for progress.
Your participation in this survey will help our effort to research, collect and analyze demographic data from public radio journalists, primarily those working in local newsrooms stations around the country, and in understanding the current makeup of our field.
A report about the current state of diversity in public radio journalism will be shared at the end of the project. Please complete your profile so we can be sure you receive the report. You do not need to be a PMJA member to complete this survey or your profile.
