Newsrooms are full of interesting people — and, as with any workplace, sometimes those people don't get along. The goal of this presentation is to give you the tools to manage workplace conflict productively in a way that builds trust and shared understanding, and allows for honesty and improvement.
It’s going to feel uncomfortable, but it’s worth doing. You'll hear from Bec Feldhaus Adams of Louisville Public Media and Ryan Van Velzer of Appalachia Mid + South Newsroom about their own experiences getting through what they call "the bad times." They're living proof that it is possible to work happily alongside (and even befriend!) your "work nemesis."
