Join Texas Public Radio for snacks and drinks at San Antonio’s Centro de Artes. Just steps away from TPR in Historic Market Square, the two-story Centro de Artes gallery is dedicated to expressing life and the Latino experience in the U.S. 

Centro de Artes has a focus on South Texas through local and regional art, history and culture, and showcasing Latino artists and Latino-themed artworks.

Centro de Artes current exhibition, Soy de Tejas presents the works of forty native Texan and Texas-based contemporary artists who reflect the diverse and beautiful complexity of Latinx identities.

The artists of Soy de Tejas will be present to talk about their works which present fresh Latinx perspectives in this gallery curated by Rigoberto Luna.

After the reception concludes, TPR invites you to join our summer concert series “Summer Night City” just a few blocks away at Legacy Park.

Dine-arounds: a networking opportunity!

Select one of our restaurants and make some new friends!

Dine-arounds are hosted by local Texas Public Radio employees along with a PMJA Board member. Hosts will do the work of choosing a variety of their favorite restaurants within walking distance and making a reservation for the maximum number of people allowed. Attendees will be able to sign up through the PMJA conference app.

When:  Wednesday June 21, 6pm-ish (times vary by restaurant)

Where:  Meet at the Riverwalk level of the Drury Plaza at 6-ish.  Reservation times may vary, so keep an eye on the conference app!

How much?  All dinners are individually paid for by each participant

How:  Select the restaurant of your choice in the conference app. Seating is limited to ~10 at each venue, so make your choice early

Getting Around

We understand that some conference attendees may need a ride from the Drury Plaza to TPR or to and from the awards reception. 

PMJA wants to make it easy for you to get a ride where you need to go for the conference.
