David Sommerstein

David Sommerstein has been News Director at North Country Public Radio since 2018. He's been an NCPR reporter since 2000. His reporting has been featured regularly on NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered and other national programs. He's won numerous national awards from the Public Media Journalists Association, Radio Television Digital News Association, and the Societry for Professional Journalists. He also hosts a weekly music show called the Beat Authority, playing funk, hip hop, latin alternative, reggaeton, afrobeats, bhangra, and any groovy music from all over the world.
