PMJA 2022 - Engaging Latino Communities
As the pandemic continues during an election year, the work of engaging with Latinos in our communities is critical. This goes beyond just thinking about translation and bilingual reporting skills. There are ways to develop newsroom-wide strategies that make for impactful and audience-driven journalism. In this session, we’ll look at some great examples happening around the country. We’ll look at best practices – taking us from story conception for radio and digital to effectively using social media. We’ll also discuss how you can get buy-in from management to make this coverage more of a priority.
