Professional Bio
Courtney Mason is a program coordinator at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in New York, NY. She co-leads programming for CFR’s Local Journalists Initiative, which helps print, broadcast, and digital-first journalists working for regional publications throughout the United States draw

Previously, Ms. Mason was a consultant for the European Union Delegation in Washington, DC, where she worked on projects to deepen the relationship between the European Union and the United States. Between 2017 and 2020, she worked on political campaigns and in the congressional offices of Representative Joaquin Castro (D-TX) and Representative Jared Huffman (D-CA). Ms. Mason has a master’s degree in American studies from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Baylor University.
