I worked at NPR member stations in Colorado and Montana for 25 years before becoming NPR's bureau chief for the 10-state Rockies/Great Plains region. Previously News Director at Montana Public Radio, health reporter at Colorado Public Radio before that. Longtime contributor to NPR-Kaiser Health News partnership, media fellow at CDC in Atlanta in 2000. Produced Richest Hill podcast w/Nora Saks, named to New Yorker's Top 10 Podcasts list for 2019, Saks awarded Daniel Schorr prize. College radio alum and supporter. Avid Nordic skier.
