Professional Bio
Stephanie Zeigler is director of journalism for Pennon News, which includes LNP | LancasterOnline and WITF News platforms. She has spent over two decades in journalism, working primarily in print publication for the first half of her career and digital-first for the second. A Scranton-area native, she started just after 9/11 as a news clerk at her hometown paper, The Scranton Times-Tribune, working her way up to news editor and social media editor on the copy desk. She then spent three years in print design and editing at The Patriot-News in Harrisburg, moving digital as life & culture editor/managing producer at Pennlive until 2018. She then joined LNP | LancasterOnline as digital editor, moving to managing editor at the start of 2020 and now director of journalism for the combined for-profit legacy and nonprofit public media newsrooms. Her strengths include multi-channel communication, strategy, planning, editing, design and team building.
She has freelanced in book editing, proofreading and marketing design, and serves as the president of the board of directors for Meals on Wheels Lancaster, Inc. Stephanie also sings with her church choir and dances (tap, jazz, ballet), a nod to her bachelor's degree in English/theatre from Albright College in Reading. She lives in Cumberland County with her husband, their children and pets.
