Committee Charge:
-
Develop and track meaningful metrics and create benchmarks to embody the diversity, equity and inclusion goals stated by the Board of Directors

Evaluate the effectiveness of membership, training, conference and awards programs in supporting the Board's stated goals
-
Recommend strategies, policy changes and action steps to the Board that will advance efforts to achieve their stated goals
-
Recommend process improvements and programming to other committees that will elevate the opportunities and resources available to help build an inclusive and equitable public media system
Current Initiatives:

Creating Review Schedule: establish systematic review of committee charges and effectiveness

Dashboard Development: Create metrics to focus on measurable outcomes while aligning with the work of other committees

Review PMJA's forward-facing language: Review website to encourage equity language that doesn't prohibit stations from participation
Strategic Leadership Role:

Advisory Function: Provides DEI lens evaluation and recommendations to all committees

Program Oversight: Leads implementation of diversity-focused initiatives

Accountability Framework: Develops metrics and benchmarks for organizational progress
